Compensation: $19.00-$27.00 USD per hour
Who We Are
At UE Systems, we believe that every person, regardless of their industry, company size, experience, and budget, should have the tools and support to help their facilities operate more efficiently, reliably, and safely. We do this by providing a portfolio of ultrasound solutions designed to be versatile and simple to use.
Since 1973, we’ve helped thousands of customers across the world prevent equipment failures, identify energy losses, and return home safe to their families, and we are just getting started. Join us as we continue to grow to support our mission in the relentless pursuit of customer excellence.
About the Role
We are seeking an Assembly and Test Associate to build Ultraprobe 15000 kits and perform routine functional checks at our Elmsford location. You will follow documented instructions to make sure each kit is complete, works as expected, and is ready for the next quality or shipping step.
This is an entry-level, hands-on role. We will train you on the kit components, assembly steps, tools, and test procedure. Prior manufacturing or electronics experience is welcome but not required.
The work calls for careful handling of high-value instruments, accurate records, and the judgment to stop and raise a concern when a part is missing or a test does not pass.
Our People
They Own Their Day: We do not micro-manage. Our team understands that some days may be longer while some may be shorter and that maintaining the right work-life balance is crucial in a non-traditional workday.
They Believe in a Team Approach: They can’t be a master of everything. We have built a team based on the culture fit, which provided us with a diverse team of varying skill sets and experience. They rely on their team to support them and grow as an individual and as a team.
They Always Look Through a Customer Lens: Every decision we make is through the lens of our customers. We ask, “What is the best decision for our customer?” before any decision is made. We put our existing customers before revenue.
Your Impact
- Assemble Ultarprobe kits according to approved instructions, using basic hand tools and fixtures as trained.
- Run defined functional checks on the instrument and kit accessories; record the required results and serial numbers.
- Check completed kits for completeness, appearance, labels, and packaging, then stage them for the next quality or shipping step.
- Identify, label, and set aside missing, damaged, or failed items. Report the issue and wait for authorized direction before reworking or releasing a kit.
- Record material use and work status in the assigned records or systems, and flag shortages early enough to protect the build schedule.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, handle equipment carefully, and follow safety and electrostatic discharge procedures as trained.
Your Experience
- No prior manufacturing or electronics experience required; training is provided.
- Able to follow written instructions and checklists, perform repeated tasks carefully, and keep accurate records.
- Comfortable handling small components, using basic hand tools, and learning a defined test procedure.
- Basic computer skills for entering quantities, serial numbers, work status, and test results.
- Dependable and organized, with the willingness to ask questions and stop work when something does not match the instructions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with light assembly, kitting, packaging, inspection, or warehouse production.
- Experience handling electronic products, following functional test steps, or working with ESD precautions.
- Familiarity with inventory records, work orders, or production tracking systems.
